Colorado Secretary of State Corporation Name Search

Search the Colorado Secretary of State by a business name in order to view information about any domestic or foreign filed corporation, limited liability company (LLC), or partnership (including limited partnerships). The database will also pull any matching trademarks and trade names.

How to Search

Step 1 – Go to This WebPage and enter the name of the business in the first (1st) blank line.

Step 2 – On the records page, which you will be re-directed to after clicking the ‘Search’ button, you will be able to view all matching entities to the name you entered. If the terms you input were broad then you may need to go back and be more specific to narrow down the results.

You will be able to view up to 20 matching records at a time and in addition be able to see the business: ID number, document number, name, last filing document, status with the Secretary, form, and date of incorporation. When you have found the entity you were trying to locate click the ID Number in the blue link to be transferred to the owner details page.

Step 3 – On the entity summary page the following may be available for viewing: name of the entity, status with the State, incorporation/formation date, ID number, type, annual filing month, state of jurisdiction, term of duration (perpetual), principal street/mailing address, registered agent (name and address), and the option to view filing history and documents, file a form (only if you are a representive of the entity), setup a secure business filing, subscribe to email notifications, and unsubscribe from any email notifications from the State.
